Archivist for Sundbyberg City

The municipal administration, the sector for management and coordination, is looking for an experienced, driven, and development-oriented archivist who wants to help develop Sundbyberg City's archive and information management.
The position is located at the city office, which supports the municipal council (the archive authority) in archive and information management.
As an archivist at the city office, you will work strategically and operationally alongside the city archivist, operational archivist, registrars, and competencies in information security, data protection, and IT development.
In the city, there is an information management council that works proactively and plans for good information management. The council, led by the city archivist, aims to ensure that the archive authority has access to all the specialist competence it needs to plan for long-term management of the city's information from legal, technical, and information security perspectives, thus guaranteeing citizens' right to transparency for all time.
Your tasks include reviewing and proposing updates to governing documents within archive and information management, preservation and disposal investigations, archive descriptions, and handling instructions, among others.
You will work with both digital and analog information and participate in various development projects. System management and management of the city's e-archive are part of the assignment, as well as regular tasks such as releasing documents, confidentiality assessments, receiving, organizing, and cataloging archives.
A key focus is proactive work through training and advice, and you will also work with supervision (maturity assessments) to support the operations in their development within archive and information management.
The current systems you will be working with are primarily Public 360, C-Archive, and Visual Archive.
We require that you have a degree in a relevant field equivalent to at least a 3-year university education, with at least 40 credits/60 ECTS in archival science and several years of experience working as an archivist, preferably in a municipality.
We also want you to have experience working proactively to support operations, management, and employees in maintaining a good structure for the authority's information.
Good knowledge of the laws and regulations governing archival work in public administration and good knowledge of analog and digital archive and information management is a requirement.
As a person, you are meticulous and responsible with a high ability to independently plan and drive effective work based on the needs of the operations.
You have the competence and courage to make independent decisions based on applicable laws and regulations. You are analytical and have good communication skills, able to express yourself simply and clearly in speech and writing in Swedish.
You enjoy a combination of daily operational tasks along with more in-depth development work and can manage several parallel ongoing processes.
You also enjoy contributing to order and clarity and understand the challenges of working in a municipality at the intersection of analog and digital information.
Collaborating, providing good service, contributing to a positive work environment, and developing positive relationships are natural for you.

The position may be placed within the framework of Sundbyberg City's role in total defense.
The employment involves placement in a security class. A requirement for permanent employment is a satisfactory result in the security screening with background check, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
